So the teller replies, “hold on, I’ll be right back.”
I didn’t panic, so I think. I just calmly glanced toward the security guard. Damn it!! He picked up his walkie talkie and he’s looking toward me. So I get another tellers attention,” Excuse me miss, I need to go speak with my wife, I’ll be right back.” (Shit, I reach this door and I’m gone). So I, so called casually walk, briskly to the door. I’m out, he didn’t try to grab me!? Ooh shit, but he’s following me. Plus he’s still on that fucking walkie talkie or cell phone what ever it is he’s giving my location.
Someone yells out of a mini van. ” Hey you want to buy a surround sound”. It came like a que.
“Fuck you”, its time to dip and get low. Plan B, I don’t have a plan b, can’t give up the ride or the source. So I cut to the CHA$E. I’m in a parking lot, with burger king to my left and Kmart catacorner left, a dirt hill 200ft straight ahead, the main road 100 ft to the right. This guard is on my ass…
I’m sure the police are on there way by now. So I get as low as possible running, I bob and weave my way through the cars in the parking lot heading toward the dirt hill. As I approach the hill, I look back to scan the area for who’s watching me. I don’t see the guard, maybe I lost him. I’m sure he’s still lurking somewhere. I’m sure, once I dash up this dirt hill I’m going to oddly bring more unwanted attention to myself. So I hit it anyway. I’m at the top of the dirt hill in a parking lot behind some type of office building. The group of cigarette smoker’s give me the, where the hell did you just turn up from look.
I say “Hey”, just like I’m an employee and enter the building. I on the bottom floor in the lobby looking out the window. I hop on the phone “Hey Cynt, everything is all bad they tried to snatch me up”. Her response made me very uneasy, like she got caught up. So I hang up on her and here comes a black and white turning the corner headed my direction. So I leave the building out the same way I came in. I notice the employee’s expressions are different. I look down the dirt hill and its definitley time to Houdini cause the black and whites are at the bottom. Only one place to go, which is jumping in a canyon full of shrubs and bushes. As I approach my escape I contemplate not even attempting it. The thought of how much time I may serve crosses my mind, I’m cool on being away for a while. Within a split second I leap into action like a buck dodging the cross hairs of a hunter. My clothes are ripping and the ground is unsteady. When I look back I see two faces with badges staring down my path. I can tell their not even about to take that jump. I come up from behind some houses, but I’m at the end of the dead end street. If I don’t hop this fence the boys will probably be come from around the corner any minute. After scaling the fence I end at the cross section of a freeway and over the overpass there is a police station to the right. I get pass and there is a GoodWill up the street two blocks. I spend nine dollars on a wardrobe change and leave out the store. I’m so sweaty and my muscles are cramping, I been running at least 15 min. I make another phone call “Sergio, whats up blood, meet me at Fam Mart”.
